About

Here at Empowerment Beyond Assault Coalition, it’s our goal to make a difference. As a national organization, we want to expand our reach as much as possible. We currently have chapters in New York, Virginia, and Maryland, but we hope to expand this even further in the near future.

Majority of our donations go to the Rape Abuse Incest National Network (RAINN) in order to help fund the national sexual assault hotline. We accept direct donations through our RAINN fundraising link, but we also fundraise through the sales of our merchandise, as well as through events.

Our organization works to empower survivors to share their stories, which allows them to take control on their circumstances, and can help other survivors feel less alone. We support survivors of any age, gender, sexuality, religion, etc., as every survivor’s experience is valid.

We know that sexual assault is caused by assaulters and NOTHING else, and it is our goal to make the rest of the world aware of that.

Founder and CEO Ariana Peralta

Hello my name is Ariana Peralta and I founded EBA in June of 2024. As a sexual assault survivor, I have made it my goal to ensure that no one feels as traumatized and alone as I once did. I am so proud of how far EBA has come, and I cannot wait to continue to grow this organization. Always remember that being a survivor doesn’t define you, and it definitely doesn’t hold you back.

Our Team

Afeefa Azhar

New York Chapter Leader

Although I am neither a victim of sexual assault (SA) nor sexual harassment, I decided to join EBA to spread awareness on victims of SA and for women that have faced sexism as it is a prevalent issue for many women in society today. As a young woman and older sister, I find myself having a strive to empower other girls that feel inferior due to them being victims of such crude behavior. Ultimately, I have joined EBA in hopes of encouraging other young women to share their stories and stand strong against the prejudice that much of us have faced.

Danica Javier

Virginia Chapter Leader

I decided to join EBA because I am very passionate about educating the public about SA/SV. In addition to that, learning more about its history & important figures who fought against it is important for everyone, which is why I wish to engage more with this community. SA is a prevalent issue in our society, so speaking up against it & making a change, especially for sexual assault victims is one of my lifetime goals.

Matilda Brashears

Maryland Chapter Leader

I joined the EBA chapter leader role in the organization because I wanted to create a safe place for survivors of sexual assault. Raising awareness is a keep part to creating change, I believe that advocating for those in need, as well as educating others on prevention and support, will create a more safe and supportive community environment for everyone.
